Meet Heather

Heather Johnson is a licensed Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Dietitian.

Committed to health and wellness throughout her professional career, Heather brings a holistic approach to well-being that integrates both mind and body.  She began her journey as a Registered Dietitian and has spent over 35 years as a Psychotherapist.  Now as a certified Essentrics Instructor, Heather combines her deep understanding of physical and emotional health to help students rediscover strength, flexibility, and vitality through movement.  Her passion is empowering others to feel balanced, energized and at home in their bodies.

Heather began practicing Essentrics seven years ago in search of relief from chronic back pain. After discovering its benefits - including reduced pain, improved posture, improved balance, increased strength and an overall sense of well-being - she was inspired to become an Essentrics instructor and share this transformative practice with others.

What is Essentrics?

Essentrics is a full‑body technique that lengthens while it strengthens—helping to increase flexibility, build strength, and gently decompress the joints. Sessions blend flowing, joint‑friendly movement with targeted muscle engagement to improve posture, relieve everyday stiffness, and help prevent injury. Many people experience a taller, lighter, and more open feeling after class.

Essentrics® is a registered trademark of The Esmonde Technique. Description provided here is an original summary.
