From Coastal Walks to Sound Baths: Inside Coastal Women’s Club OC
When Jazz, also known as Shraddha Pancholi, first moved to San Clemente, she found herself facing a familiar challenge: how do you build real friendships and become part of a community when you are new to an area? Her answer began with a walk.
What started as Girls Walk Club San Clemente has since evolved into Coastal Women’s Club OC, a community bringing women together through a changing calendar of movement, wellness, creativity, and self-care experiences. The new name reflects the group’s growth beyond walking and its broader vision for women throughout Orange County. Although its roots remain in San Clemente, Coastal Women’s Club OC is becoming less of a traditional walking club and more of a local wellness collective, one that introduces women to studios, instructors, coffee shops, healing practices, and experiences they might not otherwise discover on their own.
A San Clemente Community With a Changing Calendar
Coastal Women’s Club OC primarily gathers in and around San Clemente, partnering with local businesses and wellness spaces rather than meeting in one permanent location. One week might bring women together for a sunset walk overlooking the coast. Another might include Pilates, yoga, indoor cycling, a sound bath, or a creative morning at a local studio.
The group describes its gatherings as free or donation-based community events for women. Its schedule has recently included several events each month, sometimes as often as weekly, although the location and format change depending on the collaboration. Women are not joining only to exercise or attend a class. They are also being introduced to different parts of the San Clemente wellness community in a social, low-pressure setting.
How a Walking Group Grew Into Something More
The club’s earliest gatherings centered on walking and conversation. A June event at Calafia Beach Park offered a simple opportunity for local women to meet and walk together near the coast. Later that month, the group collaborated with High Tide Coffee San Clemente, combining community connection with a visit to a local coffee shop.
From there, the event calendar began expanding. A collaboration with Twin Star Yoga on June 27 introduced a studio-based wellness experience. In early July, the club returned outdoors for an evening sunset walk at Sea Summit Trail.
At Brunch & Brush, women gathered at Fired Up San Clemente for a morning centered on creativity, food, and conversation. A July collaboration with Barre3 brought a workout to Happy Coffee Club, pairing movement with a relaxed social setting. Later in July, Coastal Women’s Club OC hosted a Pilates and sound-bath experience, bringing exercise and restorative wellness together in one gathering. Taken together, the events show how quickly the club has developed beyond its original walking format. Coastal Women’s Club OC is now creating a kind of local sampler of wellness and community experiences.
Local Partnerships Shape Each Gathering
Rather than offering the same program repeatedly, Jazz works with studios, instructors, cafés, and local businesses to create something different for each event. This collaborative approach benefits attendees who may be curious about Pilates, yoga, sound healing, or another practice but feel uncertain about trying it alone. Attending as part of the club offers an easier introduction, with other women arriving for the same reason. It also gives local businesses a chance to welcome new visitors in a more personal way.

Jazz also includes thoughtful extras such as wellness products, small gifts, pop-up vendors, raffles, and giveaways when appropriate. These details help make each gathering feel more like a planned experience than an ordinary class or meetup.
What’s Coming Up for Coastal Women’s Club OC
The club’s upcoming calendar continues the mix of movement and connection.
On Friday, August 14, the group will collaborate with YogaSix San Clemente for an evening slow-flow yoga class. The event is designed for all experience levels and includes gentle movement, stretching, and time to connect with other attendees.
September events include:
September 5 Livemetta Pilates
September 12 Orange Theory Danapoint
September 27 Heeling event substitutionary locomotion meditation
Event details and availability can change, so attendees should check Coastal Women’s Club OC’s Instagram or Eventbrite collection before making plans.
Designed for Women Who May Come Alone
Although the group has expanded well beyond walking, one part of Jazz’s original intention remains central: women should feel comfortable arriving without already knowing someone. Jazz understands that walking into a new class or event alone can feel awkward. Despite appearing outgoing while hosting, she considers herself naturally introverted and makes it a priority to greet newcomers personally. She introduces attendees, starts conversations, and checks in throughout the event so that no one feels as though she must find her own way into the group.

That hospitality is especially important because the club does not meet in the same place every week. A warm welcome provides continuity even as the venue and activity change.
A Broader Vision for Coastal Women’s Club OC
Jazz hopes the club will continue offering more experiences that combine movement with healing and self-awareness. For her, wellness is not limited to working out. It also includes slowing down, recognizing what is happening internally, making time for yourself, and finding people with whom you feel comfortable.
Walking created an easy starting point. It gave women a reason to meet and begin talking. Now, the club is building on that foundation by offering new ways to move, create, recharge, and explore the wellness community around them.
For women wondering what the club is really like, its calendar may provide the best answer: no two gatherings are exactly the same, but each one offers a reason to step outside an ordinary routine and try something new, without having to do it alone.
