Fariba Khalvati Beighlie is a visionary architect and the only U.S. architect with an Academic Certificate in Neuroscience for Architecture, earned through The NewSchool of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the Salk Institute. As founder of FKB, she leads a pioneering neuro-architectural firm that integrates neuroscience, sustainability, and accessibility into dynamic, human-centered designs.

Fariba designs spaces that not only inspire but also enhance cognitive function—operating on the principle that architecture can help create new brain cells. She combines deep research, client collaboration, and intuitive design to ensure each project is both meaningful and functional, staying hands-on throughout every build.

Her educational background includes a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Architecture, Fine Arts, and Advertising Design. She has served as a visiting professor and held leadership roles in sustainable design, most notably as VP of Sustainability at PBWS Architects. Her work has been recognized with multiple honors, including a SPIRE award nomination for the Home Franchise Concepts headquarters.
